#GoQuesting2613
USA
This quest involves visiting the concrete foundations of the airway beacons of the Transcontinental Airway System.
Quest Objectives
What Qualifies (?)
While the beacon towers themselves are now missing, hundreds of the arrow shaped concrete foundations remain. This quest involves visiting the official locations of these towers.
List of Objectives
The best source of information for airway beacons is at Channa’s SurveyStation. Not only is there a handy interactive map (see below), but detailed datasets—split into the Eastern US and the Western US—in multiple formats that you can download. It’s an incredible resource that we won’t attempt to recreate here.
Milestones or Smaller Quests
This quest could easily be split into visiting all of the remaining beacons in a particular state, or one beacon in each of the states.
